Working on the border of the imaginary and the real, I weave lines between the two. Whether it’s a picture book, pattern design, or a unique artwork, drawing is a way of thinking for me, a process of making sense of this world. Curiosity, playfulness, and modularity are the cornerstones of my work.
Driven by a fascination with the stories found in my surroundings, I search for the repetitiev patterns that can be observed in the life of plants and in human emotions. Through art and design, I create works that bring beauty and relief to the everyday and spark dialogues, believing that objects made with care will light up our curiosity.
Biography & Background
Born into a creative family, with an interior designer mother and a furniture designer father, curiosity and the embracing of coincidences have always been central to my life. I am an alumnus of both the Hungarian Fine Art Academy and Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland, where I am currently based.
Active in children's culture since 2005, I co-founded Etana Editions, an award-winning independent picture book publisher in 2014. I worked there until June 2025 supporting talented authors and illustrators to develop their ideas into books and represent them worldwide. I remain a shareholder today.
My books have been translated into various languages, including English, Spanish, Catalan, Japanese, Chinese and Polish, and were recognized globally, earning honors like The White Ravens and The Most Beautiful Books of Finland. My works have been selected for exhibitions in Finland as well as across Europe and Asia. Between 2021–2023, I was awarded a 3-Year Finnish State Grant for Artists. Since 2025, I have been working at Moomin Characters Ltd where storytelling is embedded in the company’s core.
